NON-TEACHING STAFF’S PARTICIPATION IN TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES: A QUALITATIVE INQUIRY

The aim of the study was to discover extent which Ghana Education Service (GES) ensures continuous upgrading competencies non-teaching staff service. conducted in senior high schools a district Central region Ghana. various constituted population study. followed qualitative approach using exploratory design guide conduct interview main instrument used generate data from participants. disclosed that GES do attend training and development programmes, although not enough. programmes they mainly take form workshops. participants indicated few have attended been beneficial them their service delivery.
